Little happening on a wet Wednesday

Not much happening today  re the stables we are following save that Dan Skelton has the 1 runner at Leicester.

Leicester - Good to Soft

1.35 - Bekkensfirth is a big strong horse who will progress and improve as and when he steps up to chasing over 3m.
It was a fair effort on his first run back after 6 months when 3rd of 10 to Wishful Dreaming at Worcester over 2m on Good going when he lacked a bit of pace at the finish. He then stepped up in trip, in his first handicap, at Ascot to 2m 3f 58y finishing 9th of 15 also on good going- where he didn't show much.
He has had a short break of 39 days and today he is up another furlong, the going is good to soft but the main difference and perhaps the most significant is that this a chase. He gets in this limited handicap on a mark of 112 which should be more than workable and he's definitely worth an ew at 9/1 in a sphere in which he should do well.

Bekkensfirth 0.50 ew @ 9/1 with totesport, Betfred and Bet Victor as well as others. one fifth the odds 1,2,3. - 1st 12/1

  1. A great win for Bekkensfirth at Leicester. He was always going well and jumped with enthusiasm with only one slight mistake. He wasn't stopping come the end and he can carry on improving.
I was pleasantly surprised that he drifted out to 12/1 considering this was always going to be his game and he was on such a low rating.
