Paul Nicholls

Brave Jaq - Ran once, winning a 1m 4f National Flat Race at Pau in France in December 2014. Balloted out of Aintree Champion Bumper at the Grand National Meeting. Reported to have schooled well and looks to be held in high regard by his trainer. BD 3 out

As De Mee - Ran 7 times last season winning three including the EBF Final at Sandown by 2 lengths from stablemate Great Try. Said to have matured and strengthened up over the summer - he should be well suited to jumping fences and looks to have a bright future ahead of him. 2nd 3/1

Monsieur Gibraltar - Joined the stable in February 2015 after running several races in France of which he won two. Ran just the once winning at Newton Abbot by 9 lengths in a Class 4 Novice Hurdle in which he carried a double penalty. Looks to be another top recruit to the stable and it was the plan to start at this meeting with his trainer stating that 138 is a workable mark. One of Paul Nicholls five to follow. PU

Earthmoves - Half brother to Ptit Zig who won and was second in Grade 1 Hurdles in France. Ran six times last season winning twice at Taunton and Newbury. Needs decent ground, not too soft, to show his best. PU

Cowards Close - Ran three times winning once on his last start the Royal Artillery Gold Cup for Amateur riders at Sandown despite hating the ground. Could be on a fair handicap mark on 130c. Trainer says that he has loads of ability and loves Good ground. 4th 13/2- Remains on 130

Dan Skelton

Kid Kalanisi - The stable are looking forward to running him over hurdles after his sole start last season when third in a bumper at this track when the Good going was said to be a bit quick for him. F 2 out

Rene's Girl - Ran in two bumpers last season finishing 6th and 4th and stable think she will have little trouble picking up races this season although I would like to see her show something before testing that out with my money. 3rd 12/1

Boss Des Mottes - Ran six times last season winning once at Fakenham in a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle off a mark of 113 on Good ground. Seems to go well off a fast pace and starts this season on a mark of 122. He bled on his final start last season and looks to have his work cut out to make his mark here. 4th-Raised 1lb to 124

Hurricane Hollow - Ran four times last season winning three - culminating in a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham off a mark of 127 when ridden by Bridget Andrews, claiming 5lb. He appears to go well after a break and a fast run two miles with a bit of cut is said to be his ideal trip and he could be capable of being in the mix here. 3rd 20/1-Raised 3lb to 139

Bets
3.55 Monsieur Gibraltar - 1 point win @ 7/2 bet365
5.05 Cowards Close - 1 point win @ 13/2 skybet or 6/1 bet365
