Feel the Power !

Sole Power (0) is definitely the form horse for the Temple Stakes tomorrow and the only one capable of throwing down any opposition looks to be Kingsgate Native (1st 14/1) and it may be the same 1st and 2nd as at Newmarket. The going looks to be right and a fast pace should be on the cards with Ballista which are the key ingredients to a good run by Sole Power and this has been his target having previously won and finished 2nd in the last two years.
Not sure what to make of Reckless Abandon's chances however come 3.51 tomorrow we will know if he is a serious sprinter to follow or he's just another number.

Over at York York Glory (2nd) could be ideally berthed in stall 16 and he must have place prospects at 10/1, whilst Mississippi (NR) should give you are a run for your money in the 4.55 at Haydock.

  1. I was concerned that Fran Berry had the leg up on Sole Power, but decided not to worry. He gave it an awful ride! Hitting the front 2 furlongs out when the horse needs to be delivered late so by the time it got to the furlong it's run had flattened out. Think the lower TS bears this out, sure they're not machines but IMO he got it all wrong & must remember that this horse needs Murtagh!
Not just pocket talk, genuine opinion!

  2. Think a major problem arose when they split into two groups and Sole Power was not with the group that could have given him cover for longer and deleivered later, as a result Berry probably had no option but to go when he did and as you say he flattened out and he made a wrong call in deciding who to follow.
I also gave thought to whether some of the other Jocks may have have planned to split deliberately in order to get the fav beat.
