With Haydock up the straight being soft its probably best to stick with the form horses on Soft. In the 3.10 Class 2 Hcap over 6f I would be looking at Sonny Red who ran so well in finishing 2nd in the Silver Cup at Ayr being beaten by a progressive rival. They were both on the unfavoured far side and there shouldnt be any problem with that today and although he is higher in the Hcap he thrives on Soft going and he must be in the shake up if this doesnt come too soon. The other one to keep an eye on is Damika who won the Great St Wilfrid so well that he must go well in this. He too is a soft ground lover and ok he hasnt run well the last couple of times but he could bounce back here at 20/1.
The 3.45 sees Cheveton as fav at 11/2 and he always operates on Soft. We saw last week when he won at Ayr that he is at the top of his game at the moment and he probably would have preferred it even softer there but still won. He is still well in on old form from his revised rating and he too must be in with a shout.
