Sprint action at York

After yesterdays success at Haydock we move on to York and and a Class 3 handicap over 5f. Its pretty moderate stuff though and really anything in the field could have its day and win, however the two I would have the most interest in are the fav Captain Carey and Feelin Foxy who ran a good race here last time in finishing 4th to Hamish McGonagall in a Class 2 handicap on Good to Firm and she could be some value ew if you fancied taking a chance as it was roundabout this time last year she struck form.

  1. CAPTAIN CAREY is the only runner of the day for in-form trainer MS Saunders (4 wins from 10 runners in past 14-days). I'm more intrigued by JD Bethell's ROWAYTON which is his only runner today (he's 2 wins and 2 places from just 7 runners in past 14-days). Favourite Girl will ensure a good pace and that could favour the likes of Invincible Lad. This race looks wide-open to me!

  2. The race was wide open and thats why I didnt go for anything firmly, but Feelin Foxy rewarded ew backers in 3rd at 14/1 which is what I suggested was a good option if you wanted to have a go at this race. Captain Carey was slowly away and although making progress late on was never in it but he could win again if breaking on terms. Favourite Girl ran well and could be close to winning too.

  3. The winner Hotham probably benefitted from a low draw as 3 of the 1st-5 were drawn 1,2,3. Favourite Girl is in the form of her life. GO GO GREEN could be the one to take out of the race as he came on a bundle from his last run, and that was off a 6-month break as he didn't have a winter AW campaign.
